Registration is now open for FIONIA Long Distance Triathlon powered by Sparekassen Danmark.
The event will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, and will become Triathlon Denmark’s new Danish long-distance triathlon, featuring a continuous course from Nyborg to Odense.
FIONIA Long Distance Triathlon powered by Sparekassen Danmark is held over the classic full distance with 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling, and 42.2 km running. In addition, participation as a relay team is offered. The event is held simultaneously as an open Danish Long Distance Championship for Age-Group triathletes.
A new Danish long-distance event
FIONIA has been developed as a Danish alternative for triathletes who wish to complete a full distance in familiar and secure surroundings. In recent years, many international long-distance events have sold out early, and FIONIA is Triathlon Denmark’s response to the need for a Danish event with a clear structure, high quality, and professional execution.
The route from Nyborg to Odense is a central part of the concept and brings Funen together in one coherent race experience. The event is planned in close dialogue with local clubs, authorities, and other partners.
Registration and pricing
Registration for FIONIA Long Distance Triathlon powered by Sparekassen Danmark is now open.
Bib numbers are sold in price tiers:
- Tier 1: DKK 3,600
(Valid for up to 400 sold entries or until February 8, 2026 at 23:59) - Tier 2: DKK 3,800
(Valid for up to 550 sold entries or from February 9 to and including February 28 at 23:59) - Tier 3: DKK 4,000
(Valid from March 1, 2026)
When a tier is sold out or a set date is reached, the next tier opens automatically.
Triathletes who previously expressed interest in the event will receive direct information and a special discount as a thank-you for their support in establishing the event.
